Small Size 13 x 8cm hand carved wooden heart painted (red or black) then nailed with small metal milagros.

The word “milagro” means miracle in english.

Each piece is unique and work of traditional folk art, made in Mexico.

Religious Folk Art metal milagro charms are traditionally used for healing purposes or as offerings all over Latin America. They bring luck and protection. They are frequently nailed to the walls of churches, cathedrals or any other place of worship.  Common milagros are body parts (hands, legs, feet, eyes, breasts, hearts, liver), animals (cows, sheep, chicken,fish), cars, houses, pregnant ladies, praying people, crosses and more.
